Kitesurf lessons Maui Hawaii
The Hawaiian Islands are a volcanic archipelago made up of eight main islands, several atolls, and numerous islets that stretch across the North Pacific from Midway to โThe Big Islandโ of Hawaii. The main islands consist of Hawaii, Maui, Lanai, Oahu, Kahoolawe, Molokai, Kauai, Niihau. Hawaii is the cradle of surfing, and watersports like windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle, body boarding... it's a magical place every surfer should go there at least once in their life. When Captain James Cook discovered Hawaii in 1778, 2,000 years after the first Polynesian visitors, he was amazed by the natives' abilities to ride the waves. The island of Maui has some good waves on the south coast, but is known for perfect tubing at Honoloa Bay, Windsurfing at Hookipa Beach, Kitesurfing at Kanaha Beach and especially Big wave riding in tow-in surf on the famous spot of Jaws โPeสปahiโ, located on the north coast. South Maui is not as exposed to swells as the other islands. Lahaina is the best place to learn to surf and surf the southern swells in the summer. CBCM KITESURF SCHOOL MAUI Kahului Our partner school is located in Kahului, Maui. We offer Kitesurf, Windsurf & Wingfoil lessons for beginners and all levels. Our instructors all have a minimum of 15 years of experience. CBCM partner Kitesurfing School is now setting the standard for Maui kitesurfing lessons. What makes us different? We are the only school on Maui that is with you every step of the learning curve. How do you learn? Your lesson starts on the beach with a kite just like the one youโll use in the water, except it is rigged with short lines to take excess power out of the kite. You learn how to set it up, how to launch, fly and land the kite safely. On the beach, you can learn and practice the skills like using a harness and waterstarting, all with the ease and safety of short lines. From there, youโre into the water and your instructor will come with you on a 10โฒ paddle board. Never more than a few feet away, your instructor guides you out, and into shore again. With the โchase boatโ, your instructor can talk you through a maneuver, giving you comfort and confidence that they are there for you. You learn the skills faster because your instructor is giving you on-the-spot feedback; you donโt have to wait to get back to shore to learn from a beach-bound instructor what you were doing right or wrong. As your skills improve you may be outfitted with a waterproof radio. Your instructor may or may not follow on the chase board. Either way they are in constant communication with you.
